Obama as….Edgar Martinez?

The fact that Obama’s South Carolina victory speech produced feelings similar to the ‘95 Seattle Mariners playoff victory in Josh Andrews could portend good things for Obama in the state of Washington:

I have been avoiding the Presidential campaigns on this blog for the last few months. Why? Well, mainly because there are others who do this kind of blogging better, more comprehensively, and smarter than I. However, tonight I heard words that moved me – and I mean it. When a candidate makes you feel a surge of hope and belief, I feel like you should stand up and share it.

    I felt something, too, watching Obama’s victory speech in South Carolina. I felt what I feel whenever I watch old newsreels of fascist rallies in 1930s Europe.
