Molina Endorses Team Clinton
She kept it under her hat for awhile, but the LA County Supervisor came out for the Clintons today. Does it cancel out the effects of La Opinion’s endorsement of Obama?

(Still) Waiting on Gloria
Ten days later, Democrats are still waiting to see if LA County Supervisor Gloria Molina will endorse a candidate for President. LEL calls her “arguably the most powerful elected official in the Latino Community anywhere in America.” I wonder if Hillary or Obama are considering taking positions on either of the issues that she’s been working on lately: graffiti (and sometimes, controversially, mural) clean-up and a proposed ban on plastic bags.

Waiting for the big endorsement: Gloria, not Al
Via Mario, the LA Times looks into the decision facing Gloria Molina. Molina is an LA County Supervisor and a giant of Latino politics in SoCal, whose endorsement is up for grabs following Bill Richardson’s departure. (The LA County Board of Supervisors is a fascinating entity– its five members represent a total of more 10.3 million residents and its makeup has remained constant for more than 10 years What is more, I suspect that most County residents could name a majority of the supervisors.)
The Times article concludes:
there is a Latino official who is fending off more insistent calls than she.
“I talked to Bill Richardson,” she said. “He is holding out as well. And believe me, he is being truly wined and dined.”
